Bike Rides, Put-In-Bay, and Camouflage

This weekend Matt and I headed up to Sandusky for fun filled festivities with friends.  Matt, myself, and 6 of our friends headed up to Sandusky after work on Friday.

After a night of sitting lakeside next to a campfire and drinking some beers Matt and I woke up at the crack of dawn to ride the Revolution Three Triathlon 70.3 bike course for Cedar Point.  Three reasons I love riding in Sandusky: 1) little traffic 2) no hills 3) buffalo!

Matt with his best friends!

My turn for buffalo pics.

These guys are livin' the life!

CTC's course preview day was also being held on Saturday so we made sure to swing by and say hi to the man himself, Charlie Patten, and other Rev3 team mates.  If you haven't met the man behind Rev3 Triathlon you are missing out.  Charlie is seriously one of the nicest guys ever!

I found the Rev-mobile!

The bike ride was followed up by a relaxing day on the lake with friends, food, and tasty beverages.

We capped off the evening with a trip to Put-In-Bay for dinner, drinks, and dancing to celebrate my friend's birthday.  Holy ripoff on the Jet Express to the Island, though.  Our group of 8 collectively spent well over $300 in ferry tickets!  Yikes!

Matt never passes up an opportunity to photograph his cannon.

Shark Shots at the Fish Bowl Bar. ...and creepy stalker girl who photo bombed me and followed Matt around like a lost puppy.

Matt's tasty fish bowl drink.

We planned on bar hopping, but ended up staying at the second bar we hit, the Boathouse, because the band was just amazing!  If you ever get a chance to see the band Lt. Dan's New Legs I highly recommend them!  I have never been so entertained in my life.  Awesome music and even better stage presence.

After getting back at 3am, needless to say, Sunday was a lazy day.  I did manage to wash my car and Matt wanted to me camouflage one of his Air-Soft guns.

I think it turned out ok for my first camo job!

A fabulous and relaxing weekend was had by all and now the next three weeks Matt and I are buckling down in prep for Rev3 Dells 70.3.  We have two century rides on tap: the Sweet Corn Challenge this weekend followed by The National MS Society's Pedal to the Point next weekend (I am still accepting donations to hit my fundraising goal.  Click here to donate for a great cause!)  Then it's off to Wisconsin and two weeks later it's off to Maine for some lobster catchin', kayaking, and more Rev3 fun!

You guys are seriously busy! But... it looks like fun! :) I'm bummed we missed the sweet corn ride again. Sometime I always wanted to do in Ohio and never did!

That chick that's photo bombing looks C.R.A.Z.Y!
